A home based clinic in Meadows
Separate to my house is my remedial clinic where I run Align massage and wellbeing. My husband built the space in 2022 as a place for me to study and practice massage therapy techniques.
The clinic is warm cosy and inviting. I use premax performance skin care massage creams and balms as well as Rocktape kinesiology tape and cupping therapy for those who will benefit.

Remedial massage therapist
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity in my late 30s for a career change. I've worn many hats professionally from outdoor instructor, swimming teacher, lifeguard, scuba instructor. From tourism and hospitality, agriculture and events I really have enjoyed working a wide array of jobs. I've lived throughout SA, up to north Queensland and in the middle of NSW. Now settled in Meadows SA I completed studying a diploma of remedial massage in 2022 & opened my clinic shortly after. During 2023 I completed OM1 certificate in oncology massage level 1. I'm passionate about helping others stay active and live a pain free life. I'm a wife and mother of 2 and have a old labrador who sleeps outside my clinic door.

What happens in a remedial treatment ?
Assessment
A remedial treatment will always start with a detailed health history and assessment of movement , posture. Further orthopedic testing and muscle testing if required.
Treatment
Remedial treatments aim to fix or best manage ailments aches, pains and muscular skeletal issues.
Treatment plan
Treatment plans are made for progress. Usually more than one treatment is required to undo what's causing pain, therefore a plan is put into place to ensure progress and the best outcome possible is met.
Relaxation massage treatments
Aim is to relax, reduce stress tension, improve blood flow and circulation.
Benefits of regular relaxation massage include improve overall well-being and manage stress and anxiety.
The treatment will begin with grounding breathwork. The pressure of massage varies to suit the clients wants from deep tissue to light effleurage

Oncology massage treatments
Oncology massage is a custom massage to help people going through cancer treatment or living with cancer.
The aim of oncology massage is to provide a safe treatment to ease side effects of chemotherapy or other treatments in a nurturing setting.
Oncology massage also allows a safe space for deep relaxation to assist in managing stress, providing comfort & improving wellbeing.
I was drawn to this type of massage curious to find a way to help people going through or living with the challenges that is cancer. Cancer touches many lives and nothing can prepare a person or family & friends for a diagnosis.
Within days of completing my training my Mum fell sick and was diagnosed with cancer. After recovering from surgery she will require 6 rounds of chemotherapy 3 weeks apart. I have booked her oncology massage treatments 2 weeks after her chemo sessions with the hope she can feel well enough and get the most benefits from the massage.
Oncology massage treatments can help whilst undergoing cancer treatment, before treatment begins or post treatment to give the person a nurturing experience and help them feel whole again.
